100+ Retail Industry professionals attended our go go speak NYC event on Tuesday August 25th, 2015 @ Lightbox! This immersive experience included asian inspired hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, followed by a special go go video presentation highlighting the ‘best of the best’ from our inaugural asia a go go Retail Tours of Shanghai and Seoul that took place May 11-17th, 2015. Our guests also heard from some exclusive speakers who shared their insights, knowledge and industry expertise on the ‘ever expanding’ Asian influences on retailing worldwide.

Adam Cook, - Head of Retail Projects, Asia Pacific. Adam serves as the business lead for JLL’s Retail Project Management and Construction Services across the AP Region. He helps retailers enter new markets, design and build global flagship experiences, and rollout portfolio programs for new store construction and renovations.
In his speaker presentation; Retail Futurism – Identifying Resilient Retail Places in Asia he shared with the group his engaging insight on China’s new centre openings, travel retail extending beyond airports, mixed use centres, the new anchor, provide a framework for identifying resilient centres and forecasts the best places to be and who will survive in the Asian market.

Eric Chan – Keynote Speaker, Director of Operations (South China) and Leasing (China) in K11 Concepts, which is a lifestyle brand under the Hong Kong New World Development Group. Eric is a seasoned executive with 20+ years’ experience across a wide spectrum in the commercial real estate industry in both Hong Kong and China markets.
He took our go go gang who travelled to Shanghai in May earlier this year, through a guided tour of K11 and reprises his tour, in a special video presentation, that delivered a developer’s perspective and insights into the Chinese retail scene that featured K11 and their unique Art & Community based mall concept and shared insight on how they are driving foot traffic in an increasingly crowded landscape and their roll out plans for this mall brand concept across China.

Simon Ong – Group Managing Director/Co-Founder at Kingsmen Creatives Ltd. a leading communication design & production group with 18 offices in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Its fields of activity concentrate on retail & corporate interiors, exhibitions & events, museums & thematic and alternative marketing. Besides providing strategic directions for the Group’s growth, Simon is also responsible for the creative directions and standards, planning and implementation of group operations and its day-to-day management.
He shared his insight on Singapore’s vibrant retail scene and in his feature presentation; World-class Airport Shopping Experiences - The hallmark to the “Changi Experience” led the group through the development of Changi as a world leading airport shopping destination, and the major changes on the drawing board.

Linda Krueger – Principal of Krueger Retail Design. Linda’s experience features 3 decades as a retail design consultant and concept leader, as well as over 5 years in the position as in-house design principal for the global luxury travel retailer, DFS Group Ltd, an LVMH company.
As a highly experienced specialist in the design of retail environments and as the former VP Worldwide Store Design, DFS Hong Kong, she shared her expertise on the fastest growing retail channel in her speaker presentation entitled; Travel Retail, A Journey from its humble origins to a dynamic and undisputedly fast growing retail channel.

Bruce Barteldt – Partner & Retail Global Practice Leader, Little. Bruce specializes in strategic planning, brand vision and conceptualization and business diversification planning. He is a recognized thought leader whose ideas about trends and phenomena affecting customer experience and design thinking are published in industry leading publications.
This go go alumni shared his design perspective and observations through a special photo montage of the key and prevalent Asian retail design themes across the go go tours of Shanghai and Seoul.
